THE ORIGINAL TEN COMMANDMENTS - GOD'S LAW APPEAR IN THE HEAVENS |
![]()
About thirty
years ago a very close friend gave me a prophetic
chart
made by Pr. Gordon Collier. I have kept this
chart all these years. I have
studied it several
times. It is really an excellent tool for study
purposes.
When I first had the opportunity to look at
it, I noticed an interesting title
at the right lower
corner of the chart. It gave several references in
relation
to the fact that the Tables of Stone (the
Ten Commandments) will be
discover sometime in the
future. About twelve years later while I was
in
Washington D.C., I visited the E.G. White State. I
asked for any
documents that they had available from
E.G. White to study. One of
these documents contained
several E.G. White references related to
the Tables
of Stone, the Ten Commandments. Pr. Russell and Colin
Standish quote some of these statements under chapter
26, "Will the
Ten Commandments Be
Displayed?" Holy Relics or Revelation pg. 136.
We are going to analyze these
statements in what we believe is their
proper context. If we
follow the principle of letting the writer speak for
herself and examine all quotes in relation to this
subject, the reader will
be able to appreciate the
writer's message to us.
We will look
into some Bible History and recent
Archaeology
research of the Ark of the Covenant and
the destruction of the
first temple unrelated to Ron
Wyatt's personal expeditions. The
reader
must keep in mind that some of us, were convinced
that the
Tables of Stone (the Ten Commandments) were hidden
before we ever met Ron Wyatt, and that God somehow will have
them
found before the close of
probation as a testimony to the world that His
Law
has not changed. Naturally when we first
heard of Ron's claims,
we became very interested and
began a deeper study of the subject.
This is one of
the reasons we invited him to Puerto Rico on several
occasions. Furthermore, the controversies surrounding
Ron Wyatt have been very beneficial, for we are
seeking what is truth.
On chapter 26
of the book Holy Relics or Revelation (pg. 139),
Pr. Standish concludes that "...there is no
warrant in inspiration to
assert that the Ten
Commandments written by god's own hand upon
the tables of stone will
be discovered prior
to the close of human
probation. This could well be the reason why
Ron Wyatt provides
excuses for not providing any
genuine verification of the claimed
discovery. If
"an angel" has handed to him two tables of stone, then
he would be well advised to consider
seriously Christ's warning
concerning Satanic
deceptions, lest unwittingly he be beguiled
by
Spiritism."
We
strongly disagree with the statement that
"there is no warrant in
inspiration to assert
that the Ten Commandments written by god's
own hand
upon the tables of stone will be discovered prior to
the
close of human probation". Totally the
contrary, without being dogmatic,
we believe there is
a strong possibility that the tables of stone will
appear prior to the close of human probation as
we will see later.
We will see that inspiration does
support this idea, as well as Bible
history. As to
the statement that "this could well be the
reason why
Ron Wyatt provides excuses for not
providing any genuine verification
of the claimed
discovery", we
feel is uncalled for, particularly when
Mary Nell
Wyatt writing for Wyatt Archaeological Research
wrote: "Again,
reserve your
decision on this subject until the point in time when
you can see positive evidence for yourself.
We believe that time will
soon arrive-but how soon,
we cannot and will not say"
(The Ark of
Covenant pg. 1). Since the very beginning we
were told to
reserve our decision on this subject
(The Ark of the Covenant) until
the point in time
when we can see positive evidence for ourselves.
In
the mean time let us concentrate primarily on the
Bible. Let us
research history and archaeology with
an objective mind. Let us
not be dogmatic on
the side of Ron Wyatt's claimed discoveries
or in the opposite side.
Before
we continue, it is important to keep in mind the
following words
from Scriptures. They apply to Ron
Wyatt, to Pr. Russell and Colin
Standish and of
course to ourselves, for we are all men and therefore
subject to make mistakes: "Thus saith
the Lord; Jerem.
17: 5, 7. "To the
law
testimony, if
they speak not according to this word, it is because
there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20.
We are all seeking to know what is
truth. We can
read and quote many books from different sources, we
can
research history, or Archaeology, but there is
only one source that we can
all thrust (at least
every Christian), irregardless of Christian
denominations,
scientific opinions from the experts
in any given field including Bible
Archaeology, that
is, the Bible, the Word of God. We do not doubt or
even
question the sincerity of every one that is
mentioned in this publication. We
know all are good
sincere Christians who believe in the Word of God. So
let
us all, with a humble heart and as students of
the Bible continue to research
and the Lord will
fulfill His promise: "Howbeit when he, the he will guide
you into
all truth for he shall not speak of himself: but
whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he
will shew you things to come"
John 16: 13. There is nothing wrong with controversies,
as long as they
are handled in a Christian spirit,
void of accusations, void of unkind
criticism and
words; and above all allowing the Bible to have the
last word.
May the Lord bless us all, is our prayer.
Amen.
THE ORIGINAL TEMPLE, THE
ORIGINAL ARK OF THE
COVENANT AND THE ORIGINAL TABLES OF STONE, TEN
COMMANDMENTS ARE IN
HEAVEN
In the last book of the Bible (Revelation) we read
about the temple
(Sanctuary) of God in heaven
and the ark of his testament:
"And
the Rev. 11: 19. We know from the Bible that there is the "temple
of
God" and the "ark of his
testament." In there is the original
temple, there
is the original ark of
the covenant with the original
tables of stone,
because the Ark of the
Covenant was made for this very purpose. There,
the
ten commandments written with the finger of
God are kept safely
hidden from the human
family. There, in heaven is the "true
tabernacle"
that the Lord "pitched
and not man": "...We have such an
high priest,
who is set on the right hand of the
throne of the Majesty the
true
tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not
man." Heb. 8: 1,2.
"The law of God in
the sanctuary
in heaven is the great original,
of
which the precepts inscribed upon the tables of stone
and
recorded by Moses in the Pentateuch were an unerring
transcript.
Those who
arrived at an understanding of this important point
were thus
led to see the sacred, unchanging character
of the divine law. They saw,
as never before, the
force of the Saviour's words: "Till heaven and
earth
pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise
pass from the law." Matthew
5:18.
The law of God, being
a revelation of His will, a transcript of His
character,
must forever endure, "as a faithful
witness in heaven." Not
one
command has been annulled; not a jot or tittle
has been changed. Says
the psalmist: Thy
word is settled in heaven."
"All His commandments
are sure. They stand fast
for ever and ever." Psalms
119:89; 111:7, 8.

Title: Exodus.
"As the symbol of God's authority and the embodiment of His will, there
was delivered to Moses a copy of the Decalogue
engraved by the finger
of God Himself upon two tables of stone (Deuteronomy 9:10; Exodus 32:15, 16),
to be sacredly enshrined in the sanctuary, which, when made, was to be
the visible center of the nation's worship. PP 314.1 (pg. 324
in Spanish).
Please notice that "Jehovah
wrote it in the temple of heaven". The
copies were
written on earth also
by Jehovah. The "great
original"
is in heaven, the "unerring
transcript" with the Ark of the Covenant
are
here on earth safely hidden in a cave as we will see
later. Both Tables
of Stone were written by the
finger of God!
God gave specific instructions to Moses about the
construction of the
temple in earth, patterned after
the one in heaven, so that we can know
and understand
the grand work of instruction that comes from
above
the "Mercy Seat".
From the Mercy Seat which is above the "Ark
of his testament" in the
Holy of
Holies (Most Holy) in heaven, God "communes";
through the
Holy Spirit within us, revealing His
Glory in
our tabernacle
(sanctuary)
"from
glory to glory" changing our
character to the
"same image" of
God (2 Cor. 3:18).
This grand work of instruction and of "Grace",
and of peace is "multiplied"
unto us through the knowledge of God, and of
Jesus our Lord, giving us
His Divine Power in
all things that pertain unto life and godliness; (2 Peter 1:2)
purging our
conscience from dead works to serve the living
God (Heb. 9:14).
Christ, our mediator officiates in the
heavenly sanctuary. We must follow
Him there so that
we may not be "barren nor unfruitful in the
knowledge of
our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 1:8);(2
Peter 1: 10). What the Lord is doing
now
in the Most Holy Place in Heaven is vital for us
today. When we realize:
1. What He is...
2. Where He is...
3. What He has done and what He is doing...
...then, we can discover the practical things of
redemption in the cross of
Calvary and the practical
things of redemption in the permanent presence
and
deeper infilling of Jesus through the indwelling of
the Holy
Spirit. Then we can establish what the
nature of our experience can be
and is to be.
We need to know now the 'how' of the practical
experience in Christ.
The impartation of Divine
light from Christ for awareness and
consciousness
of sin, recognition and the put out of
them (sins) by
the blood and power of Jesus
Christ.
We can then understand the complete ministry of
Christ in the Most Holy
Place, from where He
imparts Enabling Grace, Enabling Power, Enabling
Faith; advancing from one line of obedience to
another, reaching on
from power to power, from strenght to strenght and from Grace to
Grace so
that:
"...we all, with open face beholding as
in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
(2 Cor. 3:18) and
because "everyone that is called by my
name... Isa. 43:7.
Then we will understand that righteousness by
faith obtains without ceasing
a continuously supply
of power from Christ, the inexhaustible Fountain
of
life. The power necessary for the development
of perfect characters
in the same image by the Spirit
of the Lord.
Here lies the secret of righteousness by faith,
the greatest privilege, the most
precious truth that
the mind of man can possible receive. This brings
power
unlimited, endless, infinite, to perfect the
character not by "putting away"
the
"filth of the flesh, but the answer of a
good conscience toward God"
(1
Peter 3:21). Then will God "quicken"
our "mortal bodies by his Spirit that
dwelleth" in us and translate living saints
into glory when he returns the
second time (Rom. 8:11; 1 Tes.4:15-17).
Amen.
Our great High Priest, Jesus Christ communes with
us from above the
mercy seat, the original mercy seat
within the original temple of heaven.
There, in the
original ark of the covenant is found the original
law of God,
written with His finger, the ten
commandments: "I warn you, Do not place
your
influence against God's commandments. That law is just as
Jehovah wrote it in the temple of heaven. Man
may trample upon
its
copy here below, but the (MS 6a, 1886). SDABC Vol. 1, pg.

1. Chapter Title: Exodus. "Forever,
O Lord, Thy
word is settled in heaven."
Psalm 119:89.
THE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL TEMPLE
(TABERNACLE), THE
COPY OF THE ORIGINAL ARK OF THE
COVENANT AND THE
COPY OF THE ORIGINAL TABLES OF
STONE, THE TEN
COMMANDMENTS ARE HERE ON EARTH
In the Old Testament of the Bible we
also read about the building of a
sanctuary (temple)
or tabernacle and the ark of his testament. In the
book
of Exodus the Lord reveals the plans and all
details in regard to the
construction of the Sanctuary
(temple- the
copy on earth) and the
ark where
the tables of stone were placed (the copies on earth).
These copies were made according to the
original pattern that
God showed Moses.
According to the bible, God gave to
Moses the first time, the tables of
stone with His
commandments written upon them. These are
copies
of the originals in heaven. But let us not forget that these copies
were also written
with the finger of God. These
tables of stone
were broken by Moses when he saw the
calf in the camp: "And the
Lord said unto
Moses, come up to me into the mount, and be there:
and tables of stone, and
a law, and commandments which I have
written; that
thou mayest teach them." Exod.
24: 12. "And
he gave
unto Moses, when he had made an end of
communing with him
upon mount Sinai,
two tables tables of stone,
written
with the finger of God." Exod. 31:18. "And the tables were
the work of God, and the writing was the writing of
God, graven
upon the tables...And it came to pass, as soon as he
came nigh
unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses'
anger waxed hot, and he
cast the tables out of his hands, and
brake them
beneath the mount." Exod. 32:16, 19. Notice that the
copies were broken by Moses. These tables of stone
were given and written by God.
After Moses broke the copies,
God, told Moses: "And
the
Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee
two tables of stone like unto
the first:
and I
will write upon these tables the words that were
in the first
tables, which thou brakest." Exo. 34:1. This time God did
not prepare the tables of
stone like the first time. He told Moses: "Hew
thee two tables of stone like unto the first", and
then God wrote with
his finger upon these new
second set of tables of stone, for he said:
"I
will write upon these table the words that were in
the first
tables, which thou
brakest."
Let us not forget that
it was also God who wrote upon the second
tables of stone, the ten commandments: "At
that time the Lord said
unto me, Hew thee two tables
of stone like unto the first, and come
up unto me
into the mount, and make thee And he wrote on the
tables according to the
first writing, the ten commandments..."
Deut. 10: 1-4. It is very clear from the Scriptures that
all the tables of
stone (the first and the second),
the ten commandments were written
by the finger of
God. However, these tables of stone written
here
on earth by God are the copies of the originals
in heaven and
they are safely hidden from the human
family.
"The ark in the tabernacle on
earth contained
the two tables
of stone, upon which were inscribed the precepts of the law of God.
Within the holy of holies, in the sanctuary
in heaven, the
divine law
is sacredly
enshrined--the law
that was spoken by God Himself
amid the thunders of
Sinai and written
with His
own finger on the tables of stone." The Great Controversy,
pg. 433,
434.
"Sacrilegious minds and
hearts have thought they were mighty
enough to change
the times and laws of Jehovah; but, the original
commandments, written upon the two tables of stone. No
potentate of earth has power to draw forth those
tables from their
sacred hiding place Maranatha, pg. 286.

just as Jehovah
wrote it in the temple of heaven. Man
may trample upon its
copy
here below, but the (MS 6a, 1886). SDABC Vol. 1, pg.
1109-Parag. 1.
Please notice that copies were written on earth also by Jehovah.
The "great original" is in heaven, the "unerring
transcript" is
here on
earth! Both were written by the finger of
God.
The originals in heaven have never been touched
or seen by any person
on earth. The copies here on
earth were handled by Moses and were
placed inside
the of the Ark of the Covenant, which is also a copy of the
ark in heaven.

THE ARK OF THE
COVENANT (THE COPY HERE ON EARTH)
THAT CONTAINS THE
TABLES OF STONE (WRITTEN WITH THE
FINGER OF GOD) ARE SECRETLY
HIDDEN IN A CAVE
The Bible says that because Israel's
backsliding "they
shall say no
more, The ark of the covenant of the
Lord: neither shall it come
to mind" Because of their sins, the ark was
to be no more restored
to them: "The Lord
said also unto me they shall say no more,
The
ark of the covenant of the Lord:
neither shall it come to mind,
Jerem. 3:6, 16.
This was literally
fulfilled with the destruction of the first temple
and
Jerusalem in the year 586 BC. Either the ark was
destroyed or
hidden somewhere. From the biblical
record we know in detail all
the items taken to
Babylon from the "house of the Lord",
but the ark
is not mentioned. Neither is it listed in
the items or things brought
back from Babylon. In
Jeremiah 28:3, we are told that "all the
vessels
of the Lord's house" would be
returned, yet the ark wasn't among the
returned
items. There is the possibility then, that the ark
was never
taken there in the first place. For further
study, I strongly recommend
all to read the essay by
Lambert Dolphin on the Treasures of the
House of the Lord at
the following internet address:
http://www.templemount.org/TMTRS.html.
The following paragraph
is from his essay (emphasis is ours):
"The fall of Jerusalem in If anything was
hidden it would most
likely have been the Ark of the
Covenant which was of great
sacred importance.
The Scripture suggests that everything of value
was
carried off to Babylon. During the captivity some of
the stolen
sacred gold and silver vessels from
Jerusalem's temple were used
by Belshazzar on the
night of his infamous feast when handwriting
appeared
on the wall of his palace indicating that judgment
from
God had fallen upon him, (Daniel 5). At the end
of the 70-year
captivity in Babylon the returning
Jews were allowed to carry back
at least some of
these gold and silver sacred objects to Jerusalem,
(Ezra 1:5-10). The list of returned items included
1000 basins of gold,
1000 basins of silver, 29
censers, 30 bowls of gold, 2410 bowls of
silver, and
other vessels of gold and silver totaling 5,469 in
number."
After the destruction of Jerusalem
and the first temple in 586 B.C., the
ark
with the Tables of Stone vanished from history. The
last mention in
the Bible of the ark's location is
found in 2CH 35:1 and 3, about 35
years before the
destruction of Jerusalem and the temple: "Moreover
Josiah kept a Passover unto the Lord in Jerusalem:
and they killed
the Passover on the fourteenth day of
the first month...3 And said
unto the Levites that
taught all Israel, which were holy unto the Lord,
The post-exilic temple apparently
contained no ark according to
Josephus (The Wars of
the Jews, Book Five) quoted in Lambert
Dolphin's essay on the Treasures of the
House of the Lord:
"The
Old Testament gives some details about the movement
of
the tabernacle, Ark, and holy vessels after the
conquest (Ref 1).
The Ark of Covenant was located at
Shiloh for many years
presumably in a house, tent, or
temple constructed for it there
(Judges 18:31, I
Samuel 1:39, 3:3; Judges 21:19). At some later
period
the Ark was moved to Bethel on the Benjamite border
during the war with Gibeah (Judges 20:26-27). The Ark
was then
held by the Philistines for seven months.
After being recaptured
it was located for 20 years at
Kiriath-jearim. King Saul generally
neglected the Ark
(I Chronicles 13:3) but David brought it to
Jerusalem
about 1003 BC (II Samuel 6; I Chronicles 13:15).
The
Ark was given temporary shelter in Jerusalem before
being
installed in the first temple built by King
David's son, the illustrious
Solomon. Despite a
temporary removal by apostate king Manasseh,
(II
Chronicles 33:7; 35:3),post-exilic temple
apparently contained
no
Ark, according to Josephus (The Wars of
the Jews, Book Five).
(emphasis is ours).
Siege walls were built by attacking
armies outside of the walls of
the city under attack,
at a distance outside of the range of the weapons
used by that city. Catapults
were capable of reaching over 1,000
feet, so these
siege walls needed to be at a good distance
from the
city walls. The Bible mentions "engines"
"invented by
cunning men to be on the towers and
upon the bulwarks, to shoot
arrows and great stones
withal" 2Ch 26:
14-15. Although the
record
here is about 100 years before the destruction
of Jerusalem, it
shows the weapons used. Josephus
talks about these "engines"
during the
destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C., Quoted in The
Destruction of the First Temple by Lambert
Dolphin at:
http://www.templemount.org/destruct1.html.:
The Account of Josephus:
"Now the king of Babylon was very intent
and earnest upon the
height of which was equal to
those walls. However, those
that
were within bore the siege with courage and
alacrity, for they were
not discouraged, either by
the famine or by the pestilential distemper,
but were
of cheerful minds in the prosecution of the war,
although
those miseries within oppressed them also;
and they did not suffer
themselves to be terrified,
either by the contrivances of the
enemy, or by their (emphasis is ours)
If the ark was hidden it was most
likely done prior to the destruction
of the temple,
when Jerusalem was surrounded by the Babylonians.
This means they probably had to use an underground
tunnel and/or
cave to secrete it in a safe place.
There is a great possibility that the
ark
was hidden under the temple or somewhere within the
confines of the city wall of Jerusalem and the
Babylonian
siege wall.
There are some non-Biblical sources
which documents that the ark
of the covenant was
hidden in a cave: "The apocryphal book of
II
Maccabees (2:1-8) says that the prophet Others
say it is more
likely that the Ark would be hidden under
the Temple Mount
or elsewhere
in Jerusalem than on
Mt. Nebo,
which is about
40 miles East
of Jerusalem. Perhaps the Ark perished in the
flames
when the temple was sacked and burned. Controversy
over the fate of the Ark has been renewed in our
time"....Other
traditions concerning the fate of
the Ark are listed in the
Encyclopedia Judaica, 1972
Edition. One interesting legend
claims that the Ark
was taken by the Queen of Sheba to Ethiopia
where it
is supposed to have remained to this day in a church
in Aksum. This legend has recently been researched
and
reported in great detail by Graham Hancock in his
intriguing
book The Sign and the Sea
Crown Books, New York 1992.
Lambert Dolphin, Treasures of the House of the

There are many
tunnels and caves under the city of
Jerusalem that have not
been accessible since de
destruction of the first temple.

chambers and tunnels have quite probably been
completely inaccessible since the destruction of the
First
Temple on the 9th of Av in 586 B.C.." Geophysics and the

Although "The ridge system
where the Temple Mount is now
located is believed by
many reputable sources to be the site
where Abraham
was told to sacrifice Isaac (Genesis 22:1-2)"
and where the first and second temple were located,
there are
other theories of places which "are
seriously discussed in
regard to the actual location
of the First and Second Jewish
Temples". Here
are some of the theories:
&
Three
Theories Summarized and Compared)
The present site of the Dome of the Rock.
This is the so-called
"traditional
location." There are two variations on
this model.
North of the Dome of the Rock. Physicist
Asher Kaufman
proposed the Northern location
about two decades ago.
South of the Dome of the Rock. Tuvia
Sagiv, a Tel Aviv
architect, has proposed a
Southern location for the Temples
with
extensive documentation and research during
the
past five years.
For further study, I recommend to
visit the Temple Mount Org. at:
http://www.templemount.org/. There you
can find many interesting
articles, research papers,
recent Temple Mount News and many
other interesting
links. You can listen to Lectures by Dr. Asher
Kaufman, Dr. Dan Bahat, Tuvia Sagiv, Rabbi Chaim
Richman,
Gershon Salomon, and Stanley Goldfoot, or
watch some video
presentations. As we continue to
research, it is obvious that there
is controversy as
to where the actual sites of the first and second
temples really were. If the ark of the covenant was
hidden under
the temple, then it is important to know
where the first temple was
located.
There is a very high probability
then, that the Ark of the Covenant
is hidden in a
cave. We believe the ark was hidden under the
temple or somewhere within the confines of the city
wall of
Jerusalem and the Babylonian siege wall.
Here are some
very interesting
statements that Pr. Russell and Colin Standish
must
evaluate:
"...…Before the temple was
destroyed, God made known to a
few of his faithful servants the fate of the temple…These righteous
men, just before the destruction of the temple, removed the
sacred ark containing the tables of stone, and, with mourning
and sadness, SECRETED it in a CAVE
where it was to be hid from
the people of Israel, because of their sins, and was to be no more
restored to them. That sacred ARK is yet hid. It has never been
disturbed since it was SECRETED"
SP1
pg. 414. See also SG5 114, 115
(first section)
(1864).
"Among the
righteous still in Jerusalem to whom had been
made
plain the divine purpose, were some
who determined
to place beyond the reach of ruthless
hands the sacred
ark containing the tables of stone,
on which had been traced
the precepts of the
Decalogue. This they did. With mourning
and sadness they secreted
the ark in a cave, where it was to
be hidden from the
people of Israel and Judah because of their
sins, and was to no more be restored to them.
This
sacred
ark is yet hidden. It has never been disturbed since it was
secreted. For
many years Jeremiah
had stood before the
people as a faithful witness for
God; and now, as the fated
city was about to pass
into the hands of the heathen...".
PK pg. 453 (1915).
Notice that the
earthly ark of the covenant with the tables of
stone
written with the finger of God are "yet
hidden" after they
were "secreted
in a cave".
Pr. Russell and Colin
Standish believe that the ten commandments
will ONLY
be displayed or "revealed on two
occasions" and that
"there is no
warrant in inspiration to assert that the Ten
Commandments written by God's own hand upon tables of
stone
will be discovered prior to the close of human
probation"
(Holy
Relics...pg. 139). We
totally disagree for the following
reasons:
There is
enough biblical evidence to suggest that the
Ark
of the Covenant with the Tables of Stone
written by the finger
of God on Mt. Sinai
were hidden in a cave just before the
destruction of the first temple.
There is
enough historical evidence to suggest that
the
Ark of the Covenant with the Tables of
Stone written by
the finger of God on Mt.
Sinai were hidden in a cave just
before the
destruction of the first temple.
There is
evidence in the E.G. White writings that the
Ark
of the Covenant with the Tables of Stone written with the
finger of God on Mt. Sinai
were hidden in a cave prior to
the
destruction of the first temple.
E.G. White
(quoted in Holy Relics and Revelation)
makes
references to three different times
(not two) where the Tables
of Stone will be
revealed: prior to the end of human
probation,
just before the second coming of
Jesus and after the Millennium.
Some of the
E.G. White statements have been placed out
of
context in 1 BC pg. 1109.
When one
compares all E.G. White statements concerning
the Tables of Stone, it becomes very clear
that the Tables of
Stone that were given to
Moses, written by the finger of God
(not the
originals in heaven), will be revealed prior
to the end
of human probation "against
the idolatrous worship of a
counterfeit
Sabbath."
The following are the
statement (s) as they appear in
1 BC pg. 1109:
Original Law in
Heavenly Ark--"I warn you, do not
place your
influence against God's commandments. That
law is just as
Jehovah wrote it in the temple of
heaven. Man may trample
upon its copy here below, but
the original is kept in the ark of
God in heaven; and
on the cover of this ark, right above that
law, is
the mercy seat. Jesus stands right there before that
ark
to mediate for man (MS 6a, 1886). Law Preserved in
Ark--"And
He [Christ] gave unto Moses, when
He had made an end of
communicating with him upon Mt.
Sinai, two tables of testimony,
tables of stone,
written by the finger of God. Nothing written on
those tables could be blotted out. The precious
record of the
law was placed in the ark of the
testament, and is still there,
safely hidden from the
human family. But in God's appointed
time He will
bring forth these tables of stone to be a testimony
to all the world against the disregard of His
commandments
and against the idolatrous worship of a
counterfeit Sabbath."
(MS 122, 1901). "There are
abundant evidences of the immutability
of God's law.
When the judgment shall sit, and the books shall
be
opened, and every man shall be judged, according to
the
things written in the books, then the tables of
stone hidden by
God until that day, will be presented
before the world as the
standard of righteousness.
Then men and women will see that
the prerequisite of
their salvation is obedience to the perfect law
of
God. None will find excuse for sin. By the righteous
principles
of that law, men will receive their
sentence of life or of death."
(RH
Jan. 28, 1909)-1 BC pg. 1109.
Please notice the
above statement (s) (1. MS 6a, 1886 2.
MS 122,
1901 and 3. RH Jan. 28,
1909), from three different publications of
the same
writer, in three different years, are arranged in
such a way
as to make them appear as one
single statement. This totally
changes
the real context as quoted quoted in 1BC pg. 1109.
If one reads it as one "single statement",
it will appear that she is
talking about the law in
heaven and the time where the law will be
displayed
to the whole world before the second coming of Jesus
and after the close of probation. However, when the
statements
are individually analyzed within their
proper context and related to
her other statements
regarding the cave where the ark was hidden,
it
becomes very clear that she is saying that the tables
of stone,
hidden in the ark of the covenant in a
cave, will be presented to
the world as a testimony "against
the idolatrous worship of a
counterfeit Sabbath"
and prior to the close of human probation.
Let
us analyze the individual quotes, keeping in mind
that these
are three different statements in three
different publications and
in three different years:
"I warn you,
do not place your influence against God's

wrote it in the

(MS 122,

is another interesting
statement: "Passing
down through the centuries, we find that
8T pg. 207-208.
"There are
abundant evidences of the immutability of God's law.
When the judgment shall sit, and the books shall be
opened, and
every man

the

or of death."
(RH Jan. 28, 1909)-
1 BC pg. 1109.
The first statement
clearly says that "Jehovah wrote His
law in
the temple of heaven"
( MS 6a, 1886) and that this "original
is
kept in the ark of God in heaven". This statement also talks
about "its
copy here below", obviously
referring to the tables
of stone written by God here
on earth, upon Mt. Sinai.
The second statement
(MS 122, 1901) clearly refers to the
"two
tables of testimony" that God gave to
Moses. Notice that
it is this "precious
record of the law...placed in the ark of the
testament" that is "still
there, safely hidden from the human
family". Hidden
where? "Secretly in a cave", according
to the
statements on PK pg. 453 and SP1 pg. 414. She
clearly says
that the ark of the covenant was hidden
or secreted in a cave
just before the
destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. She
further says that in "God's appointed time He
will bring forth
these tables of stone to be a
TESTIMONY to all the world
against the disregard of
His commandments and against
the idolatrous worship
of a counterfeit Sabbath." This is
obviously referring to a time after
the Sunday Law has been
put in place and prior
the close of probation!
The third quote (RH
Jan. 28, 1909) clearly says that "When the
judgment shall sit and the books shall be opened,
and every
man
shall be judged, according to the things written in
the books,
then the tables of
stone hidden by God until that day, will
be
presented before the world as the standard of
righteousness..."
The use of the word "every" clearly includes the righteous as well
as the
wicked, and indicates that probation has not closed
at this
time. To further show that the time of
reference is not after the close
of probation, she
writes in the next line that "then"
people "will"
see that the "prerequisite"
of their salvation "is"
obedience to the
perfect law of God. Her use of the
present and future tense of the
verbs- "is" and "will"-indicate
actions to make a decision to
accept God's law since
they will be without "excuse for
sin".
We can rightfully
understand that those who "will see"
the
"prerequisite of their
salvation..." will include only those who
are alive upon the earth since the dead cannot see.
She
doesn't say "all men and women will
see", which would be
the case if this were
referring to the time when the wicked are
resurrected. Finally, in the last sentence, she
writes that it is
by "the righteous
principles of that law" that men receive
the
sentence of "life or of death".
Were probation closed, no one
could receive "life"
eternal anymore-it would be too late. Therefore,
this
clearly refers to a time prior to the close of probation.

APPEAR IN THE HEAVENS

Appears in the Heavens

Maranatha pg. 286
This statement clearly reveals that
the original tables of stone
(not the copies)
will appear in the heavens, after the close
of
probation and before the
second coming. This statement
obviously does
not refer to the tables of stone here on earth: "The
clouds sweep back, and the starry heavens are seen,
unspeakably
glorious in contrast with the black and
angry firmament on either
side. The safe
in the archives of heaven, in the ark of God,
are the
original commandments, written upon the two tables
of
stone. No potentate of earth
has power to draw forth those
tables from their
sacred hiding place beneath the mercy seat.

late they see
that the Sabbath of the fourth
commandment is the
seal of the living God." Also read Great
Controversy pages

THE
ORIGINAL TEN COMMANDMENTS - GOD'S LAW APPEAR
AT THE END OF THE MILLENNIUM
"As if entranced, the wicked
have looked upon the coronation of
the Son of God. They see in His
hands the tables of the divine
law, the statutes which they have despised and
transgressed.
They witness the outburst of wonder, rapture, and adoration
from
the saved; and as the wave of melody sweeps over the
multitudes without the
city..." GC pg. 668.
